Sommelier Lisbon inicia hoje uma viagem pelas regiões vinícolas de Portugal, todas as semanas visitaremos uma região diferente. A nossa viagem tem início no Minho, a região dos icónicos vinhos verdes, únicos no mundo. Esta designação nasce da ideia errada de que as uvas são colhidas antes do seu amadurecimento, o que não corresponde á verdade. Chama-se "verde" porque a região do Minho é das mais verdejandes do nosso Paìs. Caracteristicas: De moderado teor alcoólico, e portanto menos calórico, o vinho verde é mineral com notas de fruta tropical verde e fácil de beber. Harmonização: Refeições leves e equilibradas, tais como saladas, peixes, mariscos, carnes brancas, tapas, sushi e sashimi. Castas: As castas que mais se cultivam nesta região são Alvarinho, Loureiro, Trajadura, Azal-Branco, Avesso e Pedernã, nas castas brancas, e Vinhão, Espadeiro, Tinto-Cão, Brancelho, Padral e Borraçal nas castas tintas. O vinho ideal para uma tarde solarenga rodeada de boa companhia. ----------------------------- Sommelier Lisbon begins a journey through the wine regions of Portugal, every week we will visit a different region. Our journey begins in the Minho region of the iconic "vinhos verdes", unique in the world. The name comes from the misconception that the grapes are harvested prior to maturity, which does not correspond to the truth. Called "verde" because the Minho region is the most lush in our country. Characteristics: Moderate alcohol content, and therefore less caloric, "vinho verde" is mineral with hints of green tropical fruits and easy to drink. Harmonization: Light and balanced meals, such as salads, fish, seafood, white meats, tapas, sushi and sashimi. We would like to gather around our table and our wine a group of friends, from all social and professional spheres, who can share ideas and experiences around wine with us.

We started a series of initiatives, such as wine tasting, meetings with wine producers, visits to their farms and cooking workshops.
